The Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS) is a government funded scheme where children from the age of 2 to 17 can receive dental treatment up to the value of $1000 over a period of 2 years from the date it is activated. The scheme is means tested and therefore not everyone is eligible. Eligibility can be confirmed by contacting Medicare.
The funds can be used for general dental treatment, e.g. examinations, cleans, fillings, fissure sealants but not for specialist treatment like orthodontics.
At Passion Dental, we accept the CDBS, and for further patient convenience, we Bulk Bill the treatment
directly to Medicare.
